Membership Details

Introduction to STEAM Theory  = Tier 1

Documents, Videos & Chapters 1-9. This includes the basis of the development and theory behind the use of STEAM and the basics of the “who, what, how and why” of defending the epistemological reasoning for its development and use with educational programs. This is the equivalent of the introductory book that could be used as the basis of a program or a theoretical course about the history and ongoing development of STEAM education. It is considered a per-requisite for those involved in implementing a program. It includes all updates to these documents for a year and access to those in the network. $25 annual membership

  • Theory and Reasoning –(Pre-On-Site Virtual Training )
  • Introduction to the STEAM framework

STEAM Program Creation Professional Development for Admin.Tier 2

Documents, Videos & Chapters 1-18. This includes the documentation to create a STEAM program from framework to lesson plan creation. It includes all updates to these documents for a year and access to those in the network. This option is useful for an administrator or a single educator. This tier allows the licensing for a single classroom or a homeschooling group. Educational programs, formal or informal and domestic or foreign private or governmental agencies, need a site license to use these materials systemically, in whole or in part. $150 annual membership

    • Developing Curriculum Maps
    • Theme discussion from Curriculum Maps
    • Reasoning for and how to create STEAM Teams for educators and students
    • Examples of STEAM themes & interdisciplinary PBL/RBL projects – hands-on

STEAM Curricula-Lesson Plan Bank

Documents, Videos & Chapters 19-27 and Lesson Plan Bank access. This Tier includes access to the vetted lesson plan bank that is regularly added to. We are currently working on improving and streamlining this process and should have more up consistently soon. This Tier allows the licensing for a single classroom or a homeschooling group. Educational programs, formal or informal, and domestic or foreign private or governmental agencies need a site license to use these materials systemically, in whole or in part. $150 annual membership

STEAM Group Virtual Training = Tier 3 – On-site options available.

Documents, Videos & Chapters 1-27 and Lesson Plan Bank access.
Granted to all those attending a STEAM On-Site Training. This tier is not for sale, but is included in the price of our Staff and Program Certification contracts.

STEAM Virtual Professional Development = Tier 4

Package of Tier 1, 2, 3 and the Lesson Plan Bank. Includes access to training videos plus transcripts and corresponding documents to help frame a STEAM program and access to the growing bank of lesson plans. This tier allows the licensing for a single classroom or a homeschooling group. Educational programs, formal or informal and domestic or foreign private or governmental agencies, need a site license to use these materials systemically, in whole or in part. $250 annual membership

STEAM Virtual Professional Development with Certification = Tier 5

Package of Tier 1, 2, 3 and the Lesson Plan Bank. Includes access to training videos plus transcripts and corresponding documents to help frame a STEAM program and have access to the growing bank of lesson plans. This membership level includes STEAM certification reviews of your lesson plan. This tier allows the licensing for a single classroom or a homeschooling group. Educational programs, formal or informal and domestic or foreign private or governmental agencies, need a site license to use these materials systemically, in whole or in part. $500 first year annual membership


Membership Benefits
STEAM Program Documents include a selection of  helpful documents. Depending on your membership level, these include such topics as ideas for STEAM classroom activities, lesson plan templates, subject-based suggestions, program objectives, classroom establishment and much more. New and updated documents are added regularly.
STEAM Lesson Plans include access to our growing bank of on-line STEAM curriculum created by teachers in our network, including a licensing agreement to use the lesson plans in your classroom. This live online curriculum is written by teachers for teachers and vetted by experts in the field. New lesson plans are continually being added, and, unlike textbooks, this system of developing curriculum is set up to be reflective of a rapidly changing society.
STEAM Video Training includes access to training videos (the number depending on your membership level) plus corresponding transcripts and book chapters. Tier Levels 4 & 5 also have a survey to fill out the answers to questions asked at the end of each video. Completion of the survey is required for those seeking STEAM certification.

Membership Purchase
Membership access lasts for one year from the date of your training and may be renewed annually. All STEAM-trained educators will have access to the STEAM Team Members area for one year after the website’s launch date (until the end of December 2015). Those trained from January 2015 on will have 1 year of access after the date of their training. Your Membership Expiration date may be found on your Profile page.

Visit our Store page to renew or purchase a membership. Please allow up to 1 business day for a STEAM administrator to grant you access to your new membership level. If paying by check, access will be granted after payment is processed.

Teachers who continue to add to the network of curriculum will earn a discount off their next year’s annual fee of $20 per approved lesson plan. Adding only 7 lesson plans per year will cover access to the network.
